Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday evening's games in the NBA.

The Los Angeles Clippers condemned the New York Knicks to a ninth straight defeat in the NBA while picking up their 22nd victory.

After returning from the break 10 points up, the Clippers made sure of the win at the start of the third as JJ Redick led the attack, inspiring a 13-0 run to start the second half.

The San Antonio Spurs needed overtime to wrap up a win over the New Orleans Pelicans, avoiding a fifth overtime defeat in a row.

The Pelicans surged ahead in the extra spell, opening up a six-point lead early on, but Manu Ginobili led a late run to secure victory for the NBA champions.

Kevin Durant returned from injury to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to an overtime win over the Phoenix Suns at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Russell Westbrook gave the home side an early lead, but was ejected in the second quarter after a clash with Alex Len, allowing Phoenix to force the extra period.

However, the reigning league MVP finished the game with 44 points on his return from a sprained ankle, while Markieff Morris missed a three-point attempt at the end of overtime which would have given the Suns the win.

The Indiana Pacers dominated the second half to clinch a win over the Miami Heat in a meeting between last season's Eastern Conference finalists.

The visitors appeared to be in control at the break, but CJ Miles came off the bench in the second half to score 25, while George Hill finished with 20 as the duo led the comeback.

The Houston Rockets cruised to an emphatic win over the Charlotte Hornets, improving their record for the season to 22-9.

James Harden ensured that the team bounced back from consecutive losses, scoring 36 points as the Rockets dominated the second half to clinch the win.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were missing several players as they slipped to defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks.

LeBron James and Kevin Love both sat out the game, leaving Brandon Knight to lead the scoring for the visitors with 26.

The Boston Celtics secured their first win in five games as they wrapped up a comfortable victory over the Sacramento Kings.

The Celtics have let big leads slip in the second half several times this season, but with DeMarcus Cousins ejected for a second technical foul in the fourth quarter, the visitors finished the game short-handed, allowing the Celtics to see out the victory.

Results in full: Sacramento Kings 84-106 Boston Celtics, Miami Heat 95-106 Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks 78-99 Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte Hornets 83-102 Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks 96-80 Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Pelicans 93-95 San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns 134-137 Oklahoma City Thunder
