San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is hopeful that he can trust his body for the duration of the NBA Finals series.
The Spurs begin a rematch against 2013 champions the Miami Heat on Thursday, with the team hopeful of avenging their loss from last term.
On Monday, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich admitted that he didn't know the status of Parker's fitness. However the player himself now sounds more positive.
Parker told reporters: "I'm trying to be very positive. I'm trying to do everything I can, eat healthy, get my rest, go through treatment and just trust my body.
"I've been going for four years nonstop since 2010, no vacation. But I'm still here and I trust my body to hold up for the whole series."
Parker sprained his left ankle in game four of the Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, before aggravating the problem in the next game of the series and was replaced at half time of game six.
