The San Antonio Spurs are to open the 2014-15 NBA season after the league announced its official schedule for the coming campaign.
The NBA is to head into its 69th season on October 28, with the Spurs taking on the Dallas Mavericks as part of a double-header which will also see the Los Angeles Lakers face the Houston Rockets.
The encounters are to be televised by TNT, making it the 19th year in a row that the network has introduced fans to two games on an opening night.
The Spurs claimed the NBA championship by overcoming the Miami Heat in the playoff finals earlier this year.
