Team GB's women's basketball captain Jo Leedham has described her side's overtime loss to France this evening as "heartbreaking".
Britain led for large periods of the match, but French skipper Celine Dumerc hit a dramatic three-pointer with just six seconds left of the fourth quarter to take the game into overtime at 67-67.
GB once again led in the extra period, only for Dumerc to break British hearts once again, hitting another three-pointer, this time with less than a second left on the clock.
"It was a good game against a really good team," said Leedham.
"It's kind of heartbreaking for us. We just want to win so bad, especially for the fans, but they're a really good team and we have to be proud of ourselves and what we're doing."
The result means that GB's women's team have no chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals, having lost all four of their matches.
