Martine Wright says that the atmosphere during Team GB's wheelchair basketball clash against Ukraine gave her goosebumps.

Martine Wright, who lost both of her legs in the July 7 bombings, has spoken of her pride at representing Team GB in wheelchair basketball.

The 39-year-old was stood just three feet away from Shezhad Tanweer when he detonated his rucksack bomb at Aldgate station on that fateful day, spending 10 days in a coma as she battled for life.

The 39-year-old said that it has been a long journey from that day until now, but described the opportunity to represent her country as "a dream".

She thanked the crowd at the ExCel Centre for their support, and admitted that the atmosphere during Team GB's opening 3-0 defeat to Ukraine gave her goosebumps.

"The biggest crowd we have played in front of before today was 250, so to come here is really amazing," said Wright.

"As a team, we are really proud of ourselves. We have only got two-and-a-half years of experience and this is the first ever GB team so I am really proud, and this is the start of our journey.

"I have goosebumps now and to come out here and represent my country in a sport I love is amazing. It's a dream and a dream I would never have had before July 7."

Team GB face Australia next.
