Dwane Casey has said that it was "easy" to sign an extension to remain as the Toronto Raptors' coach for another three years.
Having led the Canadian side to their first playoff appearance in six seasons, the 57-year-old agreed to a new contract with the team yesterday.
At a press conference to announce the contract, Casey told reporters: "It was easy to come back and be a part of this, be a part of the growing process.
"It would be so disingenuous to go out and even put your foot out in the market. I didn't even give it a second thought. My heart is here. My mind is here."
The Raptors finished the regular season with a franchise-record 48 wins, before losing 4-3 to the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs.
