Landry Fields has been ruled out for several weeks after undergoing surgery on his right wrist.
The Toronto Raptors forward, who previously had a procedure to alleviate nerve compression in his right elbow, has been having problems with the ulnar nerve in his hand.
The team has described the operation as a "minor surgical procedure".
It is expected that Fields, who has featured in 23 games this season, will be able to return to light practice in three weeks.
