Paul Pierce has claimed that Washington Wizards teammate John Wall is like the 'LeBron James of point guards' when he is at the top of his game.
Wall led the Wizards to a sweep of the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, and Pierce was full of praise for the 24-year-old, who averaged 17.3 points and 12.5 assists in the series.
"When he's locked in top to bottom, the way he can score, pass, defend, it's like he's the LeBron of the point guards," he told the NBA's official website. "When he's pushing at full speed, you can't stop him once he gets out in the open court.
"He steals the ball - he's quick, he's got strong hands, and he's probably in the top two fastest in the league of his position, and he is tough on the ball. He can get it over screens, he doesn't get picked off like some of these other little guards."
The Wizards meet the Atlanta Hawks in the first game of their second-round series on Sunday.
