Great Britain's men's beach volleyball duo of John Garcia-Thompson and Steve Grotowski have been eliminated from the Olympics after being comprehensively beaten by Norweigan pair Tarjei Viken Skarlund and Martin Spinnangr.
The Brits looked like they may win their first set of this summer's Games at points during the opening set as they pushed the Norweigans all the way.
However, the home favourites just couldn't find the points needed towards the latter stages as they fell to a 22-20 defeat.
The second set was a little easier for the Norweigans as they ran out 21-13 winners.
The defeat caps off a disappointing Olympics for Garcia-Thompson and Grotowski, as they failed to win a match - or even a set - in their three events.
The result leaves GB bottom of the group, while Norway move to the top of the pile. However, favourites Brazil still have a game in hand and could recapture first place if they beat Canada later today.
