Ukraine's Oleksandr Gvozdyk has battled past Algeria's Abdelhafid Benchabla to book his place in the last four of the Olympic light heavyweight tournament.
Benchabla got the better of the opening round to take a 6-4 lead, but Gvozdyk started to fire with pin-point right hands that penetrated the guard of the Algerian.
The fight was finely poised at 10 points apiece as they entered the decider. The momentum was with the Ukrainian, who was producing the more accurate, cleaner work.
The Algerian kept going forward and was making Gvozdyk work. However, Benchabla was given two standing counts as the Ukrainian finished strongly.
Just as the bell was about to ring, Benchabla incurred a warning, which effectively gave Gvozdyk the victory. Those two points made all the difference as the judges scored the bout 19-17 to Gvozdyk.
