Team GB's Nicola Adams has called upon the British crowd to help her become the first ever female Olympic boxing champion this afternoon.
The Leeds-born 29-year-old beat India's Mary Kom 11-6 yesterday to set up a gold medal fight against Ren Cancan of China.
"I am going to do everything exactly the same as normal and treat it like a regular tournament. But hopefully the crowd will give me a boost and I can get that gold," said Adams.
"She beat me in the World Championships but I have beaten her once before earlier this year and I'm hoping I can do it again.
"I have prepared for this my whole life, I just have to go out there and do it now. Every cheer for me is a real great boost of energy and I'm going to take that into the final."
The fight is scheduled to begin at 4.30pm.
