Russia's Nadezda Torlopova has battled past China's Li Jinzi and into the gold medal bout of the women's middleweight tournament.
The fighters looked evenly matched from the opening bell. Li did enough to take the first round by one point, but the Russian responded well to level the scores in the second.
Li started to feel the pace in the third round as Torlopova built up a 10-8 lead heading into the decider.
A stiff right hand from Torlopova caused the referee to issue the Chinese fighter a standing count early in the round.
The Russian continued to batter her way through Li and register a 12-10 victory.
