William Encarnacion Alcantara of the Dominican Republic has beaten Gabon's Braexir Lemboumba in a scrappy bantamweight encounter.

Despite landing mostly glancing blows, the Dominican showed that he was the better fighter in the first round, and that was backed up by the judges, who scored it five points to three in his favour.

The next three minutes went much the same way as the Gabon man failed to settle into any sort of a rhythm, this time losing the round 5-1.

Encarnacion Alcantara then wrapped up a 16-6 victory in the third round.
