Team England boxer Anthony Fowler has targeted the 2016 Olympics after winning gold at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday evening.
The middleweight, who beat Indian Vijender Vijender in the final, also claimed that he has "a killer instinct" when in the boxing ring.
"I've got a killer instinct in me. I like to knock people out. In a few of the fights I could have knocked people out and risked getting cut, but all along I was saving it for the final," he told reporters.
"Nine months work has gone into this. I have had 16 bouts without headguards and won them all. I lost one technically, but it was a bad decision over in Germany. Sixteen fights and I have won them all in my eyes.
"I think I have proven that I am a few levels above this kind of tournament. This is just the start for me. I am a man on a mission and I am going for the Olympics."
Fowler also spoke exclusively to Sports Mole after the bout.
