Team England boxer Sam Maxwell has refused to criticise the decision of the judges following his elimination in the semi-finals of the light welterweight division at the Commonwealth Games.
Maxwell, who has claimed bronze this summer, was adjudged to have lost all three rounds to Scotland's Josh Taylor in the last-four clash on Friday.
The decision was seen by some as surprising, but Maxwell said that he "cannot complain" about the defeat.
"I was getting caught with clean shots stupidly, I got my tactics wrong a little bit. I landed a few, but I got a little bit over eager. I cannot complain, it was a close fight and could have gone either way," he told reporters.
"In my head I won't know until I watch it back."
Taylor will face Junias Jonas in the final tomorrow.
