Andrew Selby has made it 8-1 for Great Britain's fighters at the Olympics with a battling four-point victory over Ilyas Suleimanov of Kazakhstan.
Selby started fast and went to work on the body before switching upstairs. He took a one-point lead into the second, which forced Suleimanov to start the second like a house on fire.
Selby managed to weather the storm and replied impressively with a few scoring shots to stretch his lead to 12-8.
The Kazakh chased the bout in the third, but Selby did not present a standing target and used constant movement to keep his opponent at bay.
Suleimanov was awarded two points after Selby received a warning from the referee, but the judges still awarded the Brit a 19-15 decision.
