Saul Alvarez has described Liam Smith as a "dangerous fighter" ahead of their WBO super-welterweight clash on Saturday night.
Liverpudlian Smith is travelling to Texas to put his world title and unbeaten record on the line against the Mexican, who has won 48 of his 49 fights in the professional ranks.
Alvarez is considered to be the favourite to prevail at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, but one of the sport's pound-for-pound stars is taking nothing for granted against the British fighter.
The 26-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "We have seen footage of Liam Smith, he is a strong fighter and his style of boxing is similar to mine.
"Both our styles will make a great fight for all the fans on Saturday. He is a hard puncher, connects, comes forward and has good combinations. We know he is dangerous and we are not underestimating him.
"I am preparing for a fighter that comes forward, I am ready for anything. We will show the best fight we can for all the fans on Saturday night."
Smith has made two successful defences of the world title which he won against John Thompson in October.
