Amir Khan has insisted that he has not lost any focus ahead of his meeting with Chris Algieri in New York on Friday night.
The Brit is rumoured to be among the candidates to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr, who has claimed that he will finish his career after fighting in September.
However, he insists that the prospect of meeting the undefeated Mayweather is not a distraction as he looks for a fifth successive victory.
"I'm focused on Chris Algieri," Khan told reporters. "I don't want to look past this fight, this is going to be a tough fight for me.
"I've made that mistake before in boxing, when you look past fights, but I ain't looking past this fight.
"I've got Chris Algieri, there's no point me looking at Mayweather, looking past this fight, because that fight might never happen."
Algieri is aiming to recover from his first professional defeat after losing to Manny Pacquiao in his last bout back in November.
