Tony Bellew demands a rematch with Isaac Chilemba following Saturday's controversial draw at the Echo Arena.

British light-heavyweight contender Tony Bellew has demanded an immediate rematch with Isaac Chilemba following Saturday's controversial draw at the Echo Arena.

Bellew took on the Malawian in a final eliminator for the WBC title but after a cagey clash was left seething when the judges ruled the bout a draw.

The Liverpudlian has insisted that he will travel anywhere to make an instant rematch with Chilemba and is adamant that he will stop him if they meet again.

He told The Telegraph: "It gave him a bit of momentum and he really started to come into the fight. That's my fault. That rests on my shoulders, I made those mistakes and I know I could have done more.

"Maybe I reined it in too much, and I don't think I should leave it to judges. I've learned a lot from this fight.

"He's canny and he's clever but I just believe I'm a better fighter. I want an immediate rematch, I'm willing to get right back in with him. I'd do it right now."

Bellew has kept his number one ranking with the WBC following the bout, but they are expected to order a rematch to determine the mandatory challenger to Chad Dawson's title.
