Tony Bellew has claimed that he has the edge over Nathan Cleverly ahead of their meeting because he is more capable of springing a tactical surprise.

Cleverly suggested earlier this week that his rival's lack of pace would prove to be his downfall on November 22, but Bellew is confident that his unpredictable style will be the difference between the two fighters at the Echo Arena.

"He'll put his hands up, he's quick, got a good work-rate. He's never shown anything different in any of his other fights," the 31-year-old told Sky Sports News. "We know what to expect and predict. Can he predict what I'm going to do in this fight? I don't think he can.

"Am I going to box him at range? Am I going to try to draw him into a war? Am I going to be tricky and defensive?

"I've shown I can do all these different things in numerous fights. He's only ever shown me one style and that is walk forward with a high work-rate and keep your hands up. That's not going to be enough on the night."

Cleverly recorded a majority decision victory over Bellew in their first bout in 2011.
