Amir Khan appears to be close to confirming former WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner as his next opponent.
Britain's former WBA super light-welterweight champion is exploring options for a May fight as he awaits the chance to take on the winner of Floyd Mayweather Jr versus Manny Pacquiao.
Domestic rival Kell Brook has thrown his name into the hat, but Bolton-born Khan, 28, seems to be leaning towards a bout with Broner after the American tweeted a video of them apparently in negotiations.
Broner's only defeat in 31 professional contests came against Marcos Maidana, a man Khan, who has not stepped into the ring since beating Devon Alexander in December, bested on points in 2010.
