Welsh boxer Nathan Cleverly will take on Tommy Karpency at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff next month.
Cleverly will be putting his WBO light-heavyweight title on the line against the American, who has won 21 of his 24 fights to date.
Invitations were sent by Cleverly's camp to WBA title-holder Beibut Shumenov, but he said he would not be ready in time to take the bout.
WBC title-holder Bernard Hopkins was also offered the fight, but he has decided to take on Chad Dawson.
