Billy Joe Saunders will defend his Commonwealth and European middleweight titles against Chris Eubank Jr after the challenger signed a contract to compete on November 29.
It was announced last month that the two fighters would put their undefeated streaks on the line at London's ExCel Arena before Eubank Jr failed to pen a deal by a deadline set by Saunders and promoter Frank Warren.
It appeared as though Saunders would instead face Matt Korobov for the vacant WBO title but in the past 48 hours, a request was put forward for Irishman Andy Lee to take on the Russian later this year.
That development cleared the way for Saunders to meet Eubank Jr providing that an agreement could be reached, and it has now been revealed that the highly-anticipated showdown will take place in the winter.
Saunders's British strap will also be on the line pending official clearance from the British Boxing Board of Control.
The bout will act as chief support to the world heavyweight title eliminator between Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury.
