Dillian Whyte has claimed that he will need to be adaptable if he is to dethrone WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury on Saturday night.

For the first time in the buildup to the showdown at Wembley Stadium, mandatory challenger Whyte appeared alongside Fury to further promote the bout.

When quizzed on a strategy, Whyte refused to give a particular plan, other than insist that it will 'take an open mind' to end his wait to become world champion.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Whyte said: "This is one of those fights where I need to go in with an open mind. This fight is about being able to adapt and make decisions quickly.

"Tyson says one thing and does another thing. He doesn't know which one is going to show up on the day. He might decide that he wants to box or wants to fight, and I need to be able to adapt as and when and do my thing. That what it will take to win the fight."

Whyte finally gets his shot to win the WBC crown having spent over three years in a mandatory position. body check tags ::
