Chris Eubank: 'Carl Froch has the edge in later rounds'

Chris Eubank claims that Carl Froch will have the edge over George Groves should their rematch enter the later rounds on Saturday evening.

Chris Eubank believes that the "battle-hardened" Carl Froch could emerge victorious in his rematch with George Groves if the fight enters the later rounds.

The pair meet on Saturday evening, in a rematch of their November 2013 fight in which Froch stopped Groves in the ninth round.

Ahead of the Wembley collision, Eubank claimed that 'The Cobra' will have the edge if the bout is allowed to drift towards the end of the 12th round.

He told Sky Sports News: "If you have a severe disdain for your adversary, then what tends to happen is you have your mind on a different target and that target is usually to hurt.

"When you want to hurt, you're not on your game, you're supposed to be scoring points. You're supposed to be subjective, never objective. I think Carl is in a steadier place. Any competition is all about psychologically.

"The physical aspect is almost elementary. What Carl has in abundance is resolve, and when a fighter has resolve, you're looking at a fight that will go into the later rounds and we know that Carl is battle hardened. If the fight goes into the later rounds, then Carl will have the edge."

The Wembley fight, which will have 80,000 fans in attendance, is the biggest post-war fight in British boxing.
