Carl Frampton insists that he is yet to peak in the super-bantamweight division as he prepares to challenge IBF champion Kiko Martinez in Belfast on Saturday night.

Super-bantamweight Carl Frampton believes that the 'best is yet to come' as he prepares to face Kiko Martinez for the IBF title on Saturday night.

The Northern Irishman is facing Martinez for the second time in 19 months, with the 27-year-old stopping the Spaniard in nine rounds in their last bout, but despite continuing to impress at 122lbs, the 27-year-old has insisted that he can continue to improve as a fighter.

Frampton is quoted by World Boxing News as saying: "I don't think that you have seen the best of me. I'm 27, in the prime of my life but there is still plenty to come.

"I can see and feel the improvements everyday in training and after sparring. The best is definitely yet to come."

Frampton is unbeaten in 18 professional fights, while Martinez, who has put together four wins since losing to the Belfast man, was won 31 times in 35 outings.
