Promoter Frank Warren has formally announced that Tyson Fury will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on April 23.
Earlier this year, Warren's Queensberry Promotions came out on top during a purse bid with Matchroom Sport, agreeing to put up $41m to promote the fight.
Over recent weeks, contracts have needed to be exchanged ahead of an official announcement, with Whyte only penning terms in the final hours before the deadline.
However, with the formalities having been completed, the two British fighters are scheduled to go head to head in London.
Fury is making the second defence of the title that he won from Deontay Wilder in February 2020, his last outing seeing him defeat his American rival in a thrilling trilogy fight.
Whyte, who was initially in the mandatory spot several years ago, is scheduled to finally get his chance to fight for a world title on the back of defeating Alexander Povetkin last spring. body check tags ::
