British super-bantamweight Kid Galahad has revealed that he wants to face WBA champion Scott Quigg later this year.
Quigg will attempt to defend his world title against Tshifhiwa Munyai on Saturday evening, but if the Bury fighter prevails, Galahad, the current European titlist, is eyeing a domestic showdown which he believes could happen on terrestrial television.
The 24-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "Let's face facts, I'm the upcoming star in the super-bantamweight division. I'm undefeated and I'm hungry for the big fights.
"If Quigg comes through his fight on Saturday night, which he should, my promoter Mick Hennessy is going to make him and his management a substantial offer to defend his WBA title against me, in either July or September live on Channel 5."
The Sheffield fighter is unbeaten in 16 professional bouts.
