British super-middleweight George Groves has revealed that he has been taken by surprise by Carl Froch's decision to fight him for a second time on May 31.
Groves dominated their first encounter before being controversially stopped by the champion, and the Londoner has admitted that he is excited to be facing his rival in a highly-anticipated rematch.
The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I'm really chuffed. I didn't, for one second, think that Carl would take this fight.
"I went to great lengths to put myself in the best position possible to force Carl into this fight, and I'm truly excited and chuffed to be here."
The IBF had previously ordered a second bout between the two after deeming that the first fight didn't come to a decisive conclusion.
