David Haye and Dereck Chisora have been involved in a post-fight brawl at a press conference in Munich.
It is believed the police were called after Chisora made death threats towards the former WBA heavyweight champion.
The 28-year-old was speaking to the media after his WBC heavyweight title defeat to Vitali Klitschko when he confronted Haye.
Haye had been in Germany commentating on Chisora's fight with his coach Adam Booth.
Chisora reportedly mocked the retired fighter for losing his title to Vitali's brother Wladimir last year.
The beaten challenger is then reported to have lunged at Haye, shouting: "I'm going to shoot you. I'm going to physically shoot David Haye.
"If David doesn't fight me, I'm going to find him on the street and kill him. I'll burn him."
The two men and their entourages then became involved in a scuffle which left Booth with a cut on his face.
Wladimir Klitschko reportedly watched on laughing as the chaos took place.
