Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he is anticipating a special occasion when British lightweight Kevin Mitchell challenges for the WBC title at the O2 Arena on May 30.
Mitchell will face current title holder Jorge Linares, a three-weight world champion, in front of his home crowd in London, and Hearn believes that it is an opportunity for the 30-year-old to "blow the division apart".
Hearn told Sky Sports News: "Kevin has the opportunity to go out and blow the lightweight division apart by beating Jorge Linares.
"He's A West Ham boy who put in a wonderful performance in his last fight against Daniel Estrada, and for someone like Jorge Linares to come to England and for Kevin to get the opportunity again is big.
"I believe that he will fulfil his dream of not only becoming world champion but becoming the WBC lightweight champion of the world."
The bill will also include Lee Selby's attempt to win the IBF featherweight crown from Evgeny Gradovich.
