British boxer Amir Khan will fight for the WBC light-welterweight title in July after champion Danny Garcia agreed to a clash.
Khan was initially expected to fight Lamont Peterson on May 19 in a rematch for the WBA and IBF titles he lost in controversial circumstances, but the bout was called off after it emerged that the American had tested positive for a synthetic testosterone.
Khan now has a chance to claim another title on July 14 and made his delight known on Twitter.
The Brit tweeted: "Just want to say thankyou for all the support and may the best man win on july 14th. Khan Vs Garcia. Mandalay Bay Vegas."
Garcia remains undefeated in 23 fights and gained the WBC strap after his victory over Erik Morales in March.
