British welterweight Amir Khan has revealed that discussions are ongoing regarding a potential bout with Devon Alexander in Dubai.
While a deal has been agreed for the two fighters to meet on December 7, a venue has yet to be named for the showdown, but Khan has admitted that he hopes that the encounter will be staged in Dubai.
The 26-year-old told The Sun: "We discussed Dubai and put it on the table as my preferred option to Devon.
"He wasn't sure at first and suggested Vegas. But negotiations are going right now. My dad and Richard Schaefer are talking to the right people in Dubai."
Should he defeat the American, Khan is expected to face Floyd Mayweather in 2014.
