Amir Khan could finally go toe-to-toe with unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jnr after he topped an online poll asking fans to vote for the US boxer's next opponent.
Mayweather decided to put his next fight into the hands of the public by creating an online poll asking fans to vote for either Khan or Marcos Maidana.
The poll on the Mayweather Promotions website came to an end yesterday, and it has nowbeen revealed that British fighter Khan came out on top with 57% of the votes, while Maidana received 4,631 fewer votes than his challenger.
Mayweather holds the WBC light-middleweight and welterweight titles.
