Floyd Mayweather Jr's world welterweight clash with Marcos Maidana has been placed in some doubt after the American raised concerns about the gloves used by his opponent.
The bout for the WBA and WBC straps is scheduled to headline a stellar card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but Mayweather is currently unhappy with the lack of padding in the Argentine's gloves.
The issue caused a confrontation between Mayweather Promotions representative Leonard Ellerbe, Maidana's trainer Robert Garcia and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, with Ellerbe threatening to cancel the contest if a solution cannot be found.
The undercard in Nevada will see British fighter Amir Khan make his first appearance in the ring for over a year when he faces tough American Luis Collazo.
