British middleweight Martin Murray has insisted that he is ready to take his chance, as he prepares to fight Sergio Martinez in April.
Murray will travel to Argentina to fight the world's best middleweight in his own backyard, but it is the fight he has been waiting for.
After an impressive draw with WBA champion Felix Sturm in December 2011, Murray became an avoided fighter, but after biding his time, he was offered a shot at the WBC title.
"This is an opportunity for me," Murray told the Liverpool Echo. "I could've knocked back the fight, taken easier opponents and fought for another version of a world title over here.
"But this is a massive opportunity and if I go over there and beat him it will be a brilliant achievement. It does not get much bigger than taking on the WBC champion.
"It's going to be a hard fight but fortune favours the brave. If I win then my career will take off."
The fight will take place in Buenos Aires on April 27.
