WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly believes that his fighting style could cause Bernard Hopkins problems if a fight between the two comes to fruition.
Cleverly is eyeing a bout with Hopkins, who was restored as WBC light-heavyweight champion after a controversial technical draw with Chad Dawson recently.
The 24-year-old wants to fight Hopkins in Cardiff but first Hopkins and Dawson are set to have a re-match, while Cleverly takes on WBA champion Beibut Shumenov next.
"My dream is to become the unified light-heavyweight champion of the world", said Cleverly.
"[Joe] Calzaghe told me myself I can beat Hopkins because he wouldn't like my type of style.
"He's been in the ring with him so he should know, and I think I've got a style which will give him problems. Hopkins is a fighter who would give anyone problems, but it's a fight that could happen."
Cleverly defeated Tony Bellew last weekend to extend his unbeaten record to 23 fights.
