British featherweight Lee Selby will make his debut on American soil next month when he takes on former three-weight world champion Fernando Montiel.
In May, Selby won the IBF title with a classy performance against Evgeny Gradovich, which resulted in the Welsh fighter linking up with advisor Al Haymon.
The 28-year-old had initially been pencilled in to make the first defence of his belt in Cardiff, but he will now meet Montiel, who has won global honours at flyweight, super-flyweight and bantamweight, in Arizona on October 14.
The 36-year-old has won 54 of his 60 contests, but he hasn't held a world title since 2011.
