Northern Ireland boxer Michael Conlan has revealed that he 'cannot wait' to face Wales's Sean McGoldrick in the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games.
Conlan booked his spot in the last four by overcoming Bashir Nashir on Wednesday, before defending champion McGoldrick beat Ayabonga Sonjica.
"It will be great. I know Sean well, he is such a nice guy and a lovely person, a quality boxer as well," Conlan told Sports Mole.
"I sparred with him a few years ago in Belfast and it was a good spar, but come Friday night or Friday day, I think it will be me winning and I have that confidence inside of me. I know that he is a quality opponent, but I am on my game at this tournament."
Conlan won bronze at the 2012 Olympics.
