Adrien Broner has defeated Carlos Molina on points on his return from falling to a first professional loss against Marcos Maidana.
The brash American had been outfought in the Texas showdown in December, but he had been matched with Molina to try to regain confidence after being humbled by the Argentine.
However, it was a subdued performance from Broner, who never looked like recapturing the form that had made him a three-weight world champion in his first 27 contests.
He was never in trouble against Molina, who took a share of the opening four rounds, but the 24-year-old controlled large parts of the second half of the encounter to win easily on all three scorecards.
