British lightweight Luke Campbell has recorded the biggest win of his career by stopping Daniel Brizuela in five rounds.
Campbell, who won gold at the 2012 Olympics in London, had breezed through his opening eight fights as a professional, but he was expected to be tested by Brizuela in front of his home crowd in Hull.
However, the 27-year-old delivered a devastating display to stop an opponent who was involved in one of the fights of the year against domestic rival Tommy Coyle in February.
Campbell dominated the opening four rounds, picking off the Argentine at range, before he dropped Brizuela in the fifth as he eyed his seventh stoppage.
It did not take long for Campbell to force the referee to step in to hand the Yorkshire fighter a victory that should put him on track for another step up early next year.
