Ireland's Andy Lee has gotten off the canvas to produce a stunning fifth-round stoppage of John Jackson at Madison Square Garden.
Lee, who has dropped down to light-middleweight, had been floored in the opening round as Jackson dominated the first four rounds of the fight.
However, as Jackson looked to press forward during the fifth, Lee countered with a short right hand that landed plumb on the Virgin Islander's chin and knocked him out before he hit the mat.
The victory improves Lee's professional record to 33 wins from 35 bouts, and the 29-year-old could have put himself in contention for a world title shot later in 2014.
