British heavyweight Dereck Chisora has beaten Malik Scott to win the vacant WBO international title.
Chisora, aiming to get his career back on track after four defeats in his last six fights, knocked his opponent out in controversial circumstances.
After being pushed back in the early rounds by Chisora's work rate, Scott eventually started to finds his range, eluding the Briton and countering.
Former world title challenger Chisora, caught up with his man in the sixth, backing him up on the ropes and sending him to the canvas with a right hook.
The American took the eight-count on one knee as he regained his composure but as his got to his feet, seemingly after nine seconds, the referee ruled that he had counted him out and declared Chisora the winner.
The Londoner said afterwards that he wants another shot at WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.
