British middleweight Martin Murray has defeated Ishmael Tetteh after his opponent failed to get off his stool for the seventh round.
Murray, who was making his debut for new promoters Golden Gloves, struggled to find his range against Tetteh in the early stages, but he eased to the opening three rounds.
As the bout continued, the world title contender began to dominate and in round six, the 31-year-old connected with a body shot that saw the Ghana fighter take a knee.
The referee mistakenly didn't call a knockdown but it proved irrelevant as Tetteh remained in his corner when the bell went for the seventh round.
Murray, who moves to 27 wins in 28 encounters, will now look for a more credible opponent when he returns to the ring in June.
