British super-middleweight Callum Smith has come through the biggest test of his career to score a points win over Vladine Biosse.
Smith has bulldozed his way through his opening 11 fights in the paid ranks, and while he never scored a 10th stoppage of his blossoming career, he proved why he is regarded as one of Great Britain's hottest prospects.
The Liverpudlian dominated the opening four rounds before Biosse displayed his toughness in landing a few blows of his own.
However, after the American failed to make a dent in the home-crowd favourite, he began to wilt as Smith found a second wind to run out a convincing winner.
The judges scored the fight 100-89, 99-91 and 99-91 all in favour of the 24-year-old, who retains his WBC international title.
