Sports Mole speaks to Team GB boxer Nicola Adams following her gold medal triumph at the 2015 European Games.

Team GB boxer Nicola Adams has told Sports Mole that "it is an amazing feeling" to create more history after winning gold at the 2015 European Games.

Adams, who is the current Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion, beat Poland's Sandra Drabik in Thursday's final to claim first spot in the women's flyweight section.

"It is an amazing feeling [to create more history]. It is definitely a lot of motivation for me as well. Being able to create history every time is amazing and it is nice to give Great Britain something to look up to, definitely," said Adams.

The 32-year-old struggled with a shoulder problem during her triumphant Commonwealth Games campaign last summer, which later required surgery.

However, the history-maker has revealed that "touch wood" she has made it through this particular competition without any niggles.

"Touch wood, I haven't had any injuries [throughout the competition]. My shoulder is feeling good and I am hoping that it will stay this way until the qualifiers for Rio," she added.

Adams also beat Katalin Ancsin, Stoyka Petrova and Elif Coskun on her way to the gold.
