Josh Kelly has advanced to the quarter-finals of the welterweight competition at the European Games in Baku.
He beat Belarus's Mahamed Nurudzinau on points after winning two of the three rounds.
After winning round one 30-27, Kelly was pegged back in the second round.
Nurudzinau struck Kelly with a punch to the head after the referee had told the boxers to stop, but that did not affect the Brit.
He will fight Ireland's Adam Nolan who beat Italy's Dario Morello yesterday.
