4.27pmSo for the last time on our coverage of the Games of the 30th Olympiad... It is a fond farewell from everyone here at Sports Mole. 4.25pmYou can follow the closing ceremony with our Dear Leader, Mr. Neil Wilkes, from 7pm onwards. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of the Olympics. Join us in four years for Rio 2016... but hopefully you'll be back before that, too... 4.22pmThat effectively brings the Olympics to a close. All that is left is tonight's closing ceremony. 4.19pmJoshua is receiving some acclaim from Lennox Lewis. I'm sure it is a massive moment for the 22-year-old. 4.17pmGreat Britain have also far exceeded their overall performance from Beijing. 29 gold medals 4.16pmWell, Team GB's boxing team have topped their performance in Beijing. Three golds, a silver and a bronze. Superb. 4.14pmBut gold goes to Team GB's Anthony Joshua! 4.13pmSilver goes to Italy's Roberto Cammarelle... 4.12pmWell done to the bronze medallists, Azerbaijan's Magomedrasul Medzhidov and Ivan Dychko of Kazakhstan. 4.07pmSo it was a bit of a nervous wait but here comes Anthony Joshua to claim his Olympic gold medal! 4.05pmThe decision is in... and it has been turned down. Anthony Joshua is still the Olympic champion! 4.03pmI can't see them overturning the decision. It was close and I don't blame the Italians for appealing - Olympic gold is at stake. It could be cruel for Joshua... 3.54pmThe Italian team have protested the Joshua-Cammarelle result. We await the decision and the victory ceremony will follow... 3.48pm... and gold goes to Russia's Egor Mekhontcev! 3.47pmSilver goes to Kazakhstan's Adilbek Niyazymbetov... 3.46pmThe light heavyweights receive their medals. Bronze goes to Brazil's Yamaguchi Falcao Florentino and Ukraine's Oleksandr Gvozdyk. 3.36pmWhat an end to the Olympics for Great Britain! A spirited finish from Joshua has claimed a 29th gold medal! DecisionJOSHUA WINS ON COUNTBACK! GOLD FOR GREAT BRITAIN! End of Round 3That's it! It's over! A big finish from Joshua but I think Cammarelle may have hung on... decision time! Round 3Joshua is putting it all on the line! Rousing finish! Round 3Joshua is finishing the stronger but he still needs to do more! Round 3Cammarelle is clinching at every opportunity now. Round 3Joshua lands with two great shots! Round 3Joshua drives forward but is caught as he does so. Round 3It is a bit untidy at the start of the third. That will suit Cammarelle down to the ground. End of Round 2Cammarelle leads 13-10 as they head into the final round. Joshua needs to pull something out of the hat. Round 2Joshua clipped Cammarelle with a few decent shots, but is hit with a couple as well. Round 2The Italian is landing more and he is dictating the pace of the fight. Round 2There are some periods where Joshua is throwing the jab out weakly, which seems to suit Cammarelle, who is biding his time. He exploded at the end of the last round to good effect. Joshua needs to put some pressure on. End of Round 1Well, Joshua looked comfortbale until that late burst from the Italian. Cammarelle leads 6-5... Round 1Cammarelle pins Joshua in the corner and unleashing a flurry of punches, which have Joshua troubled! Round 1Both fighters just seem to be figuring each other out in this opening round. Joshua connects with a speedy two-shot combination. Round 1Joshua finds a decent right that should score. Round 1Cautious start. Joshua is establishing his jab early on. 3.21pmCammarelle defeated David Price in the semi-finals in Beijing before going on to claim gold. Can he break British hearts once again? 3.20pmIt is time for the final bout of London 2012. It would be so fitting if Anthony Joshua could clinch gold. 3.16pmNext up: Anthony Joshua (Great Britain) vs. Roberto Cammarelle (Italy) 3.15pmI'm surprised to hear that the Kazakhstan national anthem is not the one off Borat... I think we've been lied to. 3.13pm... and gold goes to Serik Sapiyev of Kazakhstan! 3.12pmSilver, of course, goes to Great Britain's Fred Evans... 3.11pmHere come the welterweight to be bestowed with their Olympic medals. Bronze goes to Ukraine's Taras Shelestyuk and Russia's Andrey Zamkavoy. 3.04pmNo winner could be determined on points, no winner could be determined on countback. As close as it could have ever been, but it is the Russian who has prevailed. 3.04pmTHE WINNER ON JUDGES' INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCE: EGOR MEKHONTCEV! 3.03pmIt is taking an age to announce the scores. I smell a countback... 3.02pmIt's over! Close, but I think Niyazymbetov has won this... 2.58pmMekhontcev has battled back to level the scores at 8-8. Final round! 2.54pmNiyazymbetov leads 4-3 after the first round. 2.45pmNext up: Egor Mekhontcev (Russia) vs. Adilbek Niyazymbetov (Kazakhstan) 2.42pm... and gold goes to Ukraine's Vasyl Lomachenko! 2.41pmSilver goes to South Korea's Han Soonchul... 2.40pmThe lightweights come out to receive their medals. Bronze goes to Cuba's Yasnier Toledo and Evaldas Petrauskas of Lithuania. 2.36pmIt's not gold, but Evans can be well pleased with silver. He was beaten by the better man, but can reflect on his achievements at these Olympics with some pride. End of Round 3That's it! Sapiyev has done it, but Evans can be proud of his Olympic campaign... Round 3Sapiyev is continuing to dominate. I'm afraid it's going to be silver for Fred... Round 3Sapiyev unloads a vicious barrage on Evans, with some piercing the guard and landed nicely. Round 2Sapiyev is throwing more and that is putting points on the baord. Evans looks sharp and comfortbale, but he is just not putting Sapiyev under any pressure. Round 2Evans has thrown more so far in this round. But he needs to stay in contention and not let the Kazakh get too far out of sight... End of Round 1The Kazakh is just pumping the jab out with little success. But he needs to start throwing. Sapiyev leads 4-2... Round 1Evans is blocking everything at the moment though. He looks calm and composed. Round 1It's Sapiyev who seems to have settled better though. Round 1Neither man throwing much, but they're on their toes and look pumped up. Round 1Busy start from both men. Looks like we're in for a good fight! 2.19pmHere we go... could this be gold number 29 for Great Britain? 2.17pmNext up: Freddie Evans (Great Britain) vs. Serik Sapiyev (Kazakhstan) 2.11pm... and gold goes to Cuba's Robeisy Ramirez! 2.10pmSilver goes to Tugstsogt Nyambayar of Mongolia. 2.09pmThe flyweights are about to receive their medals. Bronze goes to Ireland's Michael Conlon and Russia's Misha Aloian. 2.01pmLomachenko wins gold! - a three-round stroll, really... 1.56pmThe Ukrainian looks comfortbale and leads 11-5 now. 1.52pmAnd Lomachenko takes a 7-2 lead... 1.48pmIt's hard to see how Lomachenko will not win this. He is a machine. 1.47pmNext up: Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukraine) vs. Han Soonchul (South Korea) 1.47pmA deserved victor, and exciting young talent. I hope he follows Guillermo Rigondeaux into the pro ranks, he is a potential star. 1.41pmRamirez still leads by one but Nyambayar has a bit of momentum... 1.34pmRamirez leads 6-5 after the first, that was explosive in bursts. 1.27pmFirst up today: Robeisy Ramirez (Cuba) vs. Tugstsogt Nyambayar (Mongolia) 1.26pmTeam GB have a chance to take their gold-medal tally to 30. Who'd have thought it? 1.25pmSo just over two weeks after it all began, we are at the end of the Olympic Games. The last medals to be decided will be in the boxing ring.
