Josh Taylor has become Great Britain's first boxing casualty of the Games despite a battling display against Italy's Domenico Valentino.
The first round was a very evenly-matched contest, which the Italian just about shaded to take a 4-3 lead into the second.
The second round was fought in very much the same vein, with the pair trading scoring shots, resulting in an even round.
Taylor was the man who had to attack in the third round, but every time he landed he was caught with a reply from the Italian.
An even contest ended with the judges handing Valentino a 15-10 verdict.
