Team GB welterweight Josh Kelly has booked his spot in the quarter-finals of the 2015 World Championships after overcoming New Zealand's Joshua Nyika on Friday.
Kelly, who qualified for the Worlds after claiming a bronze medal at the European Games in Baku in June, took a couple of quick jabs off Nyika in the early stages, but the 21-year-old's footwork improved as the round progressed and it was the Brit that triumphed 10-9 on all three of the judges' scorecards.
Kelly landed a couple of big shots that shook the New Zealander in the second and two judges scored it 8-10 Kelly, who showed his class to take control after a difficult opening to the contest.
The European Games bronze medallist continued to control the bout in the third and final round, and a 3-0 points victory ensured that he would advance into the final eight.
Kelly will fight Mohammed Rabii in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
